I had been planning to write about my favorite iPhone apps, but since my good friend Strong Sarah got an iTouch I moved it up in my list.

On Productivity

iThoughts – mind mapping software.

Evernote – keep your notes sync’ed up everywhere.

On Traveling

Expensify – managing expense reports & submitting receipt pictures.

FlightTrack – track flights and get alternate flight suggestions.

TripIt – forward any reservation email to plans@tripit.com to build an online itinerary.

Gate Guru – a recent find by the lovely wife; get a list of all the shops in the airport (uses GPS to choose the airport).

ZAGAT ToGo – get ZAGAT recommendations on movies, hotels, and hot spots.

Rocket Taxi – call a taxi from anywhere; uses the GPS.

On Being Social

Tweetie – my favorite Twitter client on the iPhone.

Facebook – keep up with the FB peoples.

LinkedIn – known as the professional MySpace.

FourSquare – a GPS based “this is where I am now” application; updates Twitter & Facebook.

BeejiveIM – cross protocol messaging software; AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk, and others.
