I’ve started a lot of drafts on this blog and then either whacked them or sent them to the oubliette. If you get the 1986 movie reference, you get a cookie. Well, okay, an extra cookie. All my readers get at least one.

Like Aesop’s fables I want my blog posts to have some kind of take-away for my readers. That’s how blogs are supposed to work, right? I have some epiphany and then I wrap it up in some neat prose with a hook, a story, and then viola – the punchline. The reader gets some brain candy and I get a little more experience writing.

This isn’t a productivity blog and I’m not looking to wind up in your RSS feeds under “Productivity Tips” – I’m perfectly happy being filed under “Friends’ Blogs”. So, here’s the official warning. This blog is about to get random.
